Amongst the pine, birch and bracken on the wooded north-east shore of Loch an Eilein, within one of Scotland's most picturesque Highland estates, Rothiemurchus, sits a simply enchanting cottage.

A traditional wooden porch leads into the double height living room, with its window seat, handsome stone hearth and wood burning stove, sure to warm you up after a day of adventures on the hills or lochs. Behind this lies the kitchen, fitted with all the luxury appliances you could wish for in modern self-catering accommodation - and some you wouldn’t, like its wonderful little wine fridge.

Also on the ground floor is the beautiful master bedroom with its super-king bed, leading through to a luxury bathroom. In here is a rainshower, whirlpool bath and even a cleverly hidden flat screen TV, for a little touch of decadence amongst the simplicity of the woodland surroundings.

There is an upstairs room which can be set up as a gorgeous twin room turning the cottage turning the cottage into a 4 sleeper.
