Fortingall Schoolhouse is set in a pretty enclosed private garden (furniture, BBQ) amidst the stunning beauty of Glen Lyon, near Fortingall (0.5m).
Inside, is a cosy sitting room with ample seating round the open fire and a spacious kitchen/dining room with wood-burning stove. There is also a handy utility/boot room and a shower room downstairs, while upstairs are three bedrooms.
Fishing is available in the village, which is also home to the famous Fortingall yew tree, said to be the oldest tree in Europe at 5,000 years old! Kenmore (6m) has grocery shops, a PO, riding school, golf course and a lovely sandy beach where water sports and boat hire are available. There is great mountain biking at Drummond Hill (2m) and walkers and climbers will want to head for Ben Lawers (10m) that stands at an impressive 4,000 feet! Aberfeldy (8m) has a distillery, cinema and leisure centre.
