On the ground floor there is a welcoming reception hall which leads onto the lounge and kitchen. The lounge has large picture window which overlooks the mature gardens which are laid to lawn with an abundance of shrubs and plants. This is a lovely bright and spacious room with a feature stone wall and a wood burning stove, and has a separate dining area with patio doors leading to the rear of the property. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay including a microwave, fridge freezer, washer dryer and double oven and electric hob.
On the upper floor there are two good sized bedrooms, the master is a double bed with built in wardrobes and a luxury modern ensuite fitted with shower and under floor heating, the other bedroom has twin beds. There is a family bathroom with a period antique (small) bath with shower over this, washbasin and WC.
There is parking for one car.
The cottage is in the grounds of Fullarton House (1745 but now demolished) however the grounds still have the signs of the previous old house with a Doocot, icehouse and old garden walls remaining.
The cottage itself is well located just outside of Troon centre only 1.5 miles away with a wide range of shops, bars, icecream shops and restaurants. This is a busy port town with regular car and passenger services to Larne in Northern Ireland. There is a lovely soft sandy beach the length of Troon which overlooks the Isle of Arran, and great place to stroll along. For those water enthusiasts there is the Troon Yacht Centre with a marina and one of the best sailing centres in the Clyde. Access to the A77 is convenient, this is the main road to Glasgow and the Central Belt - or Troon is on the main trainline for Glasgow.
