This is a luxurious coastal holiday house that combines immaculate stylish interiors with charm and sits just a few metres from the seashore. Go to sleep in wonderfully comfortable beds with crisp white linens whilst listening to the sea crash on the shoreline. The three bedrooms are served by three exceptionally well fitted out bathrooms – great for large families or groups. New carpets throughout, freshly painted walls and underfloor heating in bathrooms and kitchen – this house is wonderful.
The whole of the ground floor of what was once two 18th century fishermen’s cottages, has been opened out to make a large single public room. You are likely to spend most of your indoor time in here with its delightful kitchen/dining and sitting room area. With its welcoming Aga and breakfast bar, this is where you will enjoy a glass of something whilst cooking.
Cellardyke is an extension to the well known Anstruther. These East Neuk fishing villages are enchanting and you can enjoy walking the Fife Coastal walk from here. Nearby St Andrews needs no introduction – especially to golfers! Other courses abound in the area as well as numerous other sporting opportunities from riding to sailboarding. Edinburgh is a mere hour away and of course you are within easy stroll of the shops, pubs and cafes of Anstruther – perfect for the evenings you do not want to cook. The award winning fish and chip shop is a must!
There is a small garden on a number of levels; perfect for meals, sunbathing or quiet contemplation. Young children must take care on the stairs both inside and out as this is not a house for the very young unless guarded nor for the less mobile. There is a small courtyard area and outhouses with direct access to the front which makes safe storage for bikes and golf clubs. This is a genuinely delightful holiday house – reminiscent of the best of Cornwall and Devon village houses and is a luxurious little spot to return to after a day exploring the Kingdom of Fife.
