We would be delighted to welcome you to our beautiful home, Gallangad Lodge located 3 miles from Loch Lomond on the newly opened John Muir Way. A former hunting lodge, Gallangad offers peaceful and secluded accommodation for up to 6 guests with shared shower room. Newly decorated, the guest wing is comfortable, well appointed and private, with the owners accommodation at the other end of the house.
Our larger family suite has a superking-sized bed, wardrobe with storage drawers and sofa with the option of 2 additional single beds for a family of up to four. The room is west facing with stunning views across the upper garden and across the fields to the hills beyond. The rate is £59 for the room with an additional £22 per person for additional bed.
Our smaller double room has a double bed, hanging rail and drawers and looks out across the balustrade to the lower garden, river and woodland.
Both rooms come complete with tea and coffee making facilities and a selection of teas, hairdryer and guests information pack on the surrounding area.
A continental breakfast of tea,coffee, fruit juice, toast, cereal and fruit is included in the price or you can try Ivan's delicious Scottish breakfast for an additional £6 per person which include Sausage, bacon, black pudding, mushrooms, potato scone, tomatoes and hens from our own free range organic hens.
Guests also have exclusive use of the beautiful residents lounge with picture window seat where breakfast is served and guests can relax on the sofas and watch satellite TV or listen to their own music on our music system. We also provide a selection of games and books to help you relax and feel at home.
Further accommodation is provided from the sun room where guests can heat up their own food using the microwave and store groceries in our fridge.
The business is run by husband and wife, Liz and Ivan who are passionate about Scotland and always on hand to suggest things to do in the local area or help you plan days out further afield and our lounge stocks a number of ordinance survey maps and touring guides for you to borrow and explore the hills and bike tracks surrounding us.
The grounds around Gallangad Lodge are simply stunning with a large balustrade overlooking the orchard, river and woodland below and we provide a number of outside games including Croquet, Badmington and a Golf pitch and putt hole.
At the south end of Loch Lomond, the property is set close to the villages of Drymen, Balloch and Balmaha and is a tranquil place ot relax and enjoy the fine views of the Highlands with numerous walks on our doorstep including the newly opened John Muir Way which runs from Helensburgh to North Berwick.
