Experience a unique and different stay in this traditonal cosy little Bunkhouse which was originally part of the barn at Galson Farm. It has it's own seperate entrance and is nestled within a cobbled stone courtyard in a peaceful and tranquil setting, it has an outdoor seating where you can sit & watch the everchanging sea & coastal views toward the Atlantic Ocean. The farm is part of a small working croft so you can get the opportunity to meet the sheep and lambs or simply enjoy a stroll around Croft 19 and take in the panoramic coastal views. The croft has it's own picnic area for you to sit & enjoy your lunch or watch the evening sunset over the ocean. A short walk from the doorstep takes you to South Galson beach with it's miles of dramatic coastal walking. Watch the abundance of seabirds & wildlife or you may encounter the otter or see the golden eagle soaring overhead. We are close to such attractions as the Butt of Lewis lighthouse, the golden sands of Eoropie beach with its award winning Dunes playpark, Port of Ness with its harbour, the beautful little cove at Stoth, Ness Museum & the Trushal standing stone. North Lewis also offers a good selection of places to eat & drink. The Bunk barn is a perfect base from which to explore these fascinating islands. It accommodates up to 6 people in bunks within a shared room and cosy seating area with TV. By road from Stornoway take the A857 North to Barvas approx 12 miles then continue on the road following the signs right to Ness. Galson Farm is approx 8 miles ahead and is signposted on the main road as you enter South Galson.
From Stornoway bus staion take the W1 to Ness. Approx 20 miles North is South Galson
