A Unique 18th century Character Farmhouse which today is now part of a working croft. Its traditional dry stone walled gardens enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean & the rugged coastline towards the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse. Walks from the doorstep take you to the beach & long coastal walks where you can enjoy watching the wildlife, seabirds & perhaps you may spot a golden or sea eagle soaring by. Walk to the burn & maybe catch sight of the otters.
We offer 4 uniquely decorated Double en suite bedrooms with complimentary tea/coffee tray & a mini fridge. We have 2 cosy Guest lounges where you can enjoy watching the ocean & wildlife from our relaxing reading lounge or cosy up in the TV lounge. Start the day with our hearty cooked Farmhouse Breakfast using fresh locally sourced produce.
Then embark on a day discovering this beautiful area of Lewis with its many walks, golden beaches of Eoropie, Port of Ness & Stoth. See the dramatic ocean crash against the rocks at the Butt of Lewis & watch the seabirds or catch a glimpse of dophin or whales passing by. Check out rare arctic birds at Loch Stiapabhat nature reserve, heritage at Ness Museum & see many locations from the Peter May Trilogy. This area has an abundance of historical & ancient monuments.
When you arrive back enjoy a home cooked evening meal & perhaps a bottle of wine or wee dram from our extensive selection. Finish your day by watching the sunset over the ocean. Wintertime makes way for the dark skies & on a clear night you may experience the Northern lights & see the milky way in all its glory.
