An original fisherman's cottage from the 1800's but modernised inside, keeping most of the original features, but with modern additions. Located in the conservation area "Seatown" of a friendly old established fishing village "Gardenstown", directly on the seawall with stunning sea views.

Gannet Cottage is an old Fisherman's cottage which has been upgraded for modern living but retains some of the original features.

The cottage has low ceilings and low doors, the original steep stairs with bedroom off; a bathroom with original narrow entrance, etc, etc, but has been brought up to date for modern living with:- fibre wi-fi; woodburning stove; wall mounted TV; nespresso coffee machine; large dining kitchen and a modern bathroom etc.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a bedroom and a twin bedded room.

Unlike the original cottage which offered shelter from the close proximity to the sea, modern materials and heating has allowed us to open up windows in the living area with window one looking north out to sea, and window two looking eastword towards the harbour entrance.

Gannet Cottage is situated directly on the seafront in the conservation Seatown area of Gardenstown in a beautiful bay on the Moray Firth.

Fall asleep to the sound of the waves directly below your bedroom.

Ideal for a quiet away from it all break in an idyllic setting or as a base to explore this unique corner of north east Scotland.

The cottage is suitable for children, but care must be taken with young children due to the location close to the sea and the drop over the sea wall.

However, the plus side of the location is that walking to the beach in bare feet to have a morning swim is possible....

This cottage can be rented jointly with Seafront Cottage next door which allows you to holiday with friends/family but have your own privacy in the evening and accommodation for up to 8.
