Garbh-Bheinn on the coast in the little crofting township of Ferrindonald, overlooking the Sound of Sleat just 3 miles from Armadale on the Isle of Skye.
Inside is an impressive sitting room and with a multi—fuel stove at its centre and large picture windows framing the wonderful sea views, a modern kitchen with dining area and a downstairs twin bedroom. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, a single room and a family bathroom. Outside is a gravelled seating area (furniture) and a mountain bikes for guests’ use.
The Sleat peninsula is known as ‘the garden of Skye’ and the lovely sandy beach at Ord is just 15 minutes’ drive away. There are several excellent restaurants in the area and fishing with expert ghillies in the surrounding lochs and rivers. From Ashaig (14m) you can take a seaplane out for an aerial tour of the island. The Cuillin mountain range offers a range of peaks to tackle, as well as the chance to ‘bag’ some munros.
