This gorgeous two-bedroom cottage is one of two cottages set in the tranquil grounds of Kierfiold House at the heart of Orkney's Neolithic World Heritage site. The cottage is the perfect, peaceful base for couples and companions to unwind, relax, and explore the stunning Orkney Isles.
Garden Cottage is a newly renovated, light, sunny, open plan cottage and has its own south westerly facing, enclosed garden with a patio. The interior has been thoughtfully curated with artwork and interiors from local and national designers and artists.
There are two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and one with a super king. The bathroom has a walk-in shower (no bath). Downstairs is a large open plan living, kitchen and dining space. There is also an entrance area and downstairs toilet.
The cottage enjoys spectacular open views across Orkney's West Mainland to Harray Loch, Skaill Loch, and the Hills of Hoy. Skaill Bay, with its world-famous Skara Brae village and long sandy beach, is a mile away (a pleasant evening walk). The cottages share a two-and-a-half acre site with Kierfiold House, a Victorian dower house. Guests are free to wander the walled garden which houses an abundant plant collection.
The cottage sleeps two people, our aim is to provide a quality experience for two people (couples or companions). Minimum stay 7 nights with Saturday to Saturday booking.
