Gardenrose Bed and Breakfast is a luxury Arts & Crafts house situated on a hill overlooking the small town of Maybole. The house retains many of the original features that are reminiscent of the Glasgow School and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. There are great views across Maybole to the hills on the other side of the valley.
We have 2 luxury rooms - The Oriental Room and The Glasgow Room - both rooms are large and have super king sized beds with goose down quilts and pillows. If non-allergenic bedding is required, please advise us at the time of booking. Both rooms are on the first floor with stair access.
The Glasgow Room, which is 30 square metres, has a zip&link 6ft super king size bed and an en-suite shower room. The Glasgow Room can be set up as a twin bedded room or as a triple room. The triple room can be 3 single beds or double and a single. The maximum occupancy is 3.
The Oriental Room, which is 20 square metres, has a 6ft super king size bed a luxury en-suite bathroom with egg-shaped bath, overhead monsoon shower and twin wash hand basins. Both rooms have luxury toiletries from Arran Aromatics.
The rooms have tea and coffee making facilities with homemade biscuits, large screen TV, hairdryer and twin USB charging points. There is a seating area in both rooms.
There is a large guest lounge and a separate breakfast room, both of which have lots of Arts & Crafts and Glasgow School features.
There is ample free parking in the driveway in front of the house, For cyclists there is ample secure storage for bikes.
The house sits on a hill overlooking the town with fantastic views across the valley. There are several walks and cycle routes around Maybole with varying degrees of difficulty. More information can be found here -
Maybole Railway station is only 150 metres away with a good rail service. For the British Open in Troon there is a regular train service that stops at Troon, so there is no need to worry about parking your car.
The local bus service passes the house.
