Many bedrooms have river views and overlook the Castle, the Cathedral or Eden Court Theatre. Please advise Reception in advance if you have a building or room preference and please do be aware that, as a period property, the hotel does not have a lift but assistance with baggage will be provided on request.
The hotel itself is a two-minute walk from Inverness High Street, a 10-minute walk from Inverness train station and a 20-minute drive from the airport as well as just 15-minutes’ drive from Loch Ness. This makes the hotel the perfect base for exploring Inverness and the Highlands.
The on-site restaurant and bar - Nicky Tam’s – serves traditional Scottish food from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, a daily Pre-Theatre menu from 5:00pm until 6:30pm and a children’s menu. Enjoy one of 90 Scottish whiskies, 15 Scottish gins and a selection of local and international ales and beers, cocktails and world wines.
Our second restaurant is the newly refurbished Waterside Italian Restaurant & Prosecco Bar. The splendid view over the River Ness creates the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner, a quiet business lunch or a long overdue get together with friends and family. It's open every day for lunch from 12:00pm until 2:30pm and for dinner from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
Getting here on foot:- From Tourist Information Centre turn left onto Bridge Street then first left before the bridge, onto Castle Road. Glen Mhor is 300 metres up river bank on Ness Bank.
Getting here by railway:- From Inverness Railway Station - 2/3 minutes by taxi.
Getting here by aeroplane:- From Inverness Airport follow signs to Inverness Town Centre then B862 to Holm Mills/Dores. Hotel is situated in town on riverbank, below the Castle and opposite the Cathedral.
