Located on the rugged west coast of the Isle of Skye at the foot of the Black Cuillin mountain range and Loch Brittle beach, the award-winning Glenbrittle Campsite & Cafe is the perfect antidote to the pressures of modern living. We are pleased to announce that Glenbrittle Campsite will partially reopen on 1 August this year. Subject to no further travel restrictions or changes to government guidelines, Glenbrittle Campsite will reopen to RVs and caravans which have their own WC facilities only – (SORRY NO TENTS). Located on the rugged west coast of the Isle of Skye at the foot of the iconic Cuillin mountains and Loch Brittle beach, Glenbrittle Campsite & Cafe is the perfect antidote to the pressures of modern living. Founded in 1961, our award winning campsite was voted No.1 UK Campsite by The Daily Telegraph, won Gold Campsite of the Year 2019 in The Great Outdoors Magazine Awards and was voted ‘No.1 of the 10 Best Cool Coastal Campsites’ in the September 2020 issue of Coast Magazine. The site is an ideal base camp for some of the finest rock climbing and hill walking in Britain and is popular with devotees of the natural site because it offers a wild camping experience with the added advantage of award-winning facilities nearby.
Glenbrittle Campsite and the Cuillin Coffee Cafe partially reopened on 1 August this year. Subject to no further travel restrictions or changes to government guidelines, we are open to RVs and caravans which have their own WC facilities only – (SORRY NO TENTS UNLESS YOU HAVE YOUR OWN TOILET). This NO TENT policy is because we will only have a small team on site and given our limited resources, we cannot open the WC/shower block because we will be unable to comply with the stringent COVID-19 cleaning protocols. See this webpage for further details and how to advance book via email only: https://www.dunvegancastle.com/glenbrittle/campsite/
The site features 120 pitches in natural pockets spread liberally across the field and down towards the beautiful Loch Brittle beach. We have a refurbished Cuillin Coffee Co. cafe with stunning views of the Cuillin and Loch Brittle along with a shower block, laundry room, washroom and WC facilities nearby connected by convenient vehicle access tracks and parking across the site. We offer 36 hard stands with electric hook-ups, a campsite shop and cafe offering everything from freshly baked bread, croissants, delicious hot chocolate and a superb speciality coffee from the Cuillin Coffee Co. to camping and climbing equipment.
Our dedicated team of campsite wardens and baristas take great pride in giving our happy campers a warm Highland Welcome and excellent customer service. They are based on site 24/7 so there is always help on hand.
