Welcome to our overnight stopover for Motorhomes and Campervans.
We are certified to take up to five vans and can accommodate a range of sizes in our large hardstanding area with sea views. We are open all year and offer parking, water, recycling bins and seating areas. We welcome pets too.
This is a new venture for us, but having travelled ourselves in our motorhome we know the importance of finding welcoming and easy places to park for a night or two and so have opened this aire facility in previously unused hardstanding space in front of our cottage.
We are conveniently located on the North East 250 route, which has a cycle / pedestrian path running alongside it. We are half a mile from the pretty harbour village of Sandhaven and an easy walk of 1.5 miles from the historic town of Fraserburgh. Fraserburgh has a stunning sandy beach, popular with surfers; a range of cafes, shops and restaurants; a swimming pool & leisure centre; golf course; is home to Scotland’s oldest mainland lighthouse and the Scottish Lighthouse Museum; hosts a thriving fishing harbour; and has the Fraserburgh Heritage Centre. This is all set in the grandeur of its granite architecture, which through heritage funding is being lovingly restored.
There are supermarkets and takeaways within strolling distance, and a bus service runs to and from to town outside these.
Our stopover has sea views of the Moray Firth meeting the North Sea, where you can regularly see seals and sometimes dolphins or whales, along with a wealth of sea birds such as oystercatchers, curlews and herons. If you’re really lucky, you may glimpse the Northern Lights from here too.
