Glenceitlein Cottage sits on its own in a secluded spot amid the spectacular scenery of Glen Etive, near the Glencoe Mountain resort (14m).
Originally a shepherd’s cottage, it has been renovated to create a cosy hideaway to really ‘get away from it all’. The sitting/dining room has a wood-burning stove and is partly open to the kitchen and there are two good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom. The cottage sits in a rough grassed garden (furniture) with magnificent views out over River Etive.
Fishing is available on the river or in Loch Etive (3m). There are walks in the surrounding countryside and plenty of opportunities for munro ‘bagging’. Thrill seekers can white water raft or extreme kayak on River Etive and wildlife boat trips run out from Ballachulish (23m, shops). The Glencoe Mountain Resort has skiing/snowboarding in winter and mountain biking in summer and you can take a steam train from Fort William (38m) to Mallaig, crossing the Glenfinnan viaduct.
