Robert and Lorraine are very pleased to welcome you and hope that you like what you see. Glenelg Holiday Home is actually our former home which was called Torman Nan Sruth which is Scots Gaelic for ‘sound of running water’. We lived in Glenelg for eight years and loved the peace and tranquillity of being ‘in the middle of nowhere’. At the same time we also enjoyed the benefits of stunning views, being able to eat (and drink) out, places of beauty and historical interest to visit, lovely walks on our doorstep and a peaceful, safe area to raise our family.
Torman Nan Sruth is a beautifully appointed elevated detached bungalow providing comfortable home-from-home accommodation for up to 10 guests. It is peacefully located at the end of a private track, with stunning views of Highland scenery wherever you turn. It affords uninterrupted views across the glen to the village, with the hills of Skye providing a stunning backdrop.
The house faces south, with large bright and airy rooms. The spacious lounge has a large picture window facing the glen, with an open fire and a flatscreen TV with DVD player. The kitchen/dining area is fully equipped for a comfortable stay, with American free standing fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. A modern induction hob is available for those who enjoy cooking with all cooking utensils provided. WiFi broadband is free and available throughout the house.
The house boasts five bedrooms; one double and one king size bed, 1 family room containing 3 beds, 1 twin room and 1 single room. There is ample space in some of the rooms for a cot.
There is a bathroom with a whirlpool bath, as well as a separate shower room with fully enclosed shower and steam cabinet. The south facing garden to the front of the house is ideal for enjoying our spectacular views. Parking is provided for up to five cars.
The entire house is oak floored, providing a modern and open flow. All heating, lighting and fuel costs are included in the tariffs shown. Limited coal and kindling is also supplied. Quality contemporary bedding, hand towels and bath sheets, tea towels are all provided. Complimentary Tea and Coffee are provided on your arrival to help you recover from your journey.
Please feel free to bring your dogs (maximum of 2), hamsters, budgies etc.
