Outdoor activities are well catered for with a great range of leisure opportunities close by including two golf courses, putting, bowls, play parks and a swimming pool sports complex together with near by Kelburn Castle for exciting family days out.. Water sports are prominent with excellent sailing on the Firth of Clyde from Largs itself and also nearby Inverkip and Prestwick.
Sea tours and safaris can be taken to discover the local sea life and coastal waters including trips to the Islands of Bute and Cumbrae. Cal Mac also offer “Five Ferry” Tickets so that you can make a tour of Arran ; Kintyre Peninsula; Cowl Peninsula and Bute before returning to Ayrshire again. This route has also been adopted by cyclists as the “Five Ferry Challenge” for the fit and active.
