It is a great place to watch birds come and go in the different seasons. There is also a little shed stocked with firewood, which can be padlocked if you wish to store bikes, etc. The cottage is situated next to farmland
The Cottage is very much a non-smoking and pet-free home, due to allergies.
Directions - As you come along the coast road, you will see the sign for Conisby, right beside Bruichladdich Distillery.
Follow the road up past the distillery sheds and you will come to a little cluster of houses – Grace Cottage is accessed by the second driveway on your left – there is a big rock and signpost to guide you!
In Bruichladdich itself, you can enjoy whisky tours and shopping at the distillery, as well as a well-stocked village shop and Post Office, which serves very good coffee.
There is a bus service through Bruichladdich every day except Sundays, connecting with rest of the island.
It is only a 5 minute drive to Port Charlotte, which has 2 Hotels, with Bars and Meals, as well as the village Shop/Post Office, which also has a petrol station. The Museum of Islay Life and Wildlife Centre are also here and many wonderful walks and other activities.
