Carrbridge, which was the birthplace of the Scottish Ski industry in the late 1950’s and is a fantastic Scottish holiday destination. It’s small, intimate yet full of history with the famous “Pack horse” bridge and is home to the Adventure Park “Landmark” great for kids of all ages. Carrbridge has a couple of pubs, restaurants, a coffee shop, a takeaway, a general store, petrol station and during the year folk singing is on most weeks.
Salmon Run Lodge is located on the edge of a mature pine forest where the rear of the lodge looks into the forest and to the south facing front is the River Dulnain and the hills beyond, the lodge location means that it gets the sun most of the day!!!!
This pine clad lodge has a rustic feel yet has a charming contemporary interior and is built on 2 levels. The vestibule, lounge, dining area, kitchen and utility are on the ground floor and up a few steps to the rear is the 3 bedrooms (1 ensuite) and a family bathroom.As you enter the lodge through the vestibule you will note it has a comfortable contemporary feel to it, just the place for a highland holiday base for either an action packed week of skiing, biking, hillwalking or just relaxing in the highland air!!…..or a bit of both. The lodge has oak flooring throughout and has gas central heating.
The lounge is very spacious and can accommodate all 6 guests easily. Fitted with a cosy log stove (Logs provided F.O.C). Has a large flat screen TV fitted with Apple TV/Free-Sat and a DVD/VHS player. Wi-Fi (F.O.C) and also has a Tablet and Smart Phone jack connection speaker system. The lounge has views over the River Dulnain.
The well-designed “Shaker” style kitchen is very easy to use and is equipped with a single oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster with large beach block worktop and Belfast sink and has all cooking pots and utensils needed to prepare a meal for all the guests. The dining area has a large oak table and is adjacent to the kitchen, also equipped with all glassware and crockery required for all guests. Off the kitchen is the drying/utility room where the gas boiler and a washing machine is located (no drier) plus a sink and clothes drying racks.
A few stairs leads you to the main sleeping accommodation, all the bedrooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated.
The Master Bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobe and an ensuite shower-room with view into the Pine wood making this bedroom very restful.

The Twin Bedroom is equipped with 2 single beds, fitted wardrobe space and has views in the Pine wood.
A spacious family bathroom with bath, shower, WC, WHB, and heated towel rail.
The Sauna suite is detached from the main lodge and is truly luxurious, the sauna easily seats up to 6 guests with a glass wall looking in the relaxing area. The lodge’s sauna is just a great place where guests can wind down after a full day in the outdoors. Next to the sauna suite is a luxurious 6 person Hot tub located for privacy but with views onto the woodland.
The sauna and hot tub make Salmon Run Lodge a truly luxury holiday destination and an affordable price!!
A south facing patio and Outdoor BBQ is planned for opening in December 2015.
