Spey cottage is ideally located within Aviemore to take advantage of all the local amenities and makes a fantastic base from which to explore the Cairngorm National Park and the Scottish Highlands.
Situated on a very quiet road (cul-de-sac) in between two larger houses in a picturesque wooded area on the banks of the River Spey, but within walking distance of the train station and close to the bus stops in the village, visitors can enjoy the full range of amenities on offer without needing a car.
Spey Cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, which makes it a great value holiday property. Refurbished as a family Highland Retreat, Spey Cottage is traditional, well equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
Breakfast on the deck, overlooking the River Spey, with the Cairngorm Mountains in the distance, and watch the elusive red squirrels and other wildlife in the garden, and the ospreys as they fly over the river, to feed in the nearby Fish Farm. It is a great way to start the day.
The large newly fitted luxury well-equipped country kitchen with TV and DVD Player, provides a focal point where the farmhouse style table is an ideal place to dine and enjoy the company of friends and family.
The living room with its crackling wood burning stove, (Logs provided), comfortable sofas, Sky TV, DVD player and stereo provides a cozy retreat on cold winter nights, where the whole family can gather.
Share a quiet moment overlooking the garden to the river Spey and the Cairngorms in the background from the seating area in the master bedroom. The Cottage was built in 1880 and has retained many original features, giving guests a true Highland Cottage experience.

There are two good sized double bedrooms (one King Size), a twin room and a bathroom. All bedrooms have ample storage.

On the ground floor, there is the main lounge with wood-burning stove, Country Kitchen with Dining Table, large Shower Room and WC, and the single bedroom (an extra single bed is stored in this room, which can easily be transformed into a small twin room)
