Two Farr near the village of Kincraig is a beautiful detached lodge, located in a small settlement set within 3/4 acre in an unspoilt and tranquil location outside the village of Kincraig. Loch insh is adjacent to Two Farr and can be accessed directly from the house via the RSPB wooded area at the end of the driveway, where a short walk leads you to the shoreline of this stunning loch.
This 2-storey lodge has a large lounge, with a 46″ flat screen HD TV with freesat and DVD player. Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is provided for guests. The lounge has french doors leading to an outside patio area with seating and BBQ facilities.
There are 4 bedrooms (2 en-suite) which means that the Lodge is ideal for 8 guests. There are options to increase capacity, however this must be pre-arranged at the time of booking. The lodge features an open plan dining kitchen with all appliances and utensils required for everything from a snack to a formal dining experience.
The setting of the lodge is stunning, in a quiet area of mature woodland, with a short stroll to stunning loch Insh which is one of the major watersports centres in the area, and the surrounding area is ideal for dog walking (on a lead of course).
The village of Kincraig is only 5 minutes drive and has a country pub and small convenience store, but a further short 10 minute drive will take you to Aviemore Village with its many bars, restaurants and attractions. N.B Dogs are very welcome at Two Farr, but please note the garden fencing is not dog proof. The lounge is comfortably furnished with a large leather corner couch and the large windows give you great views of the gardens (and wildlife, deer are regularly seen walking through the gardens). There is a cosy wood burning stove for winter evenings in the lounge and the logs are provided for this.
There is an open plan dining kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a dining area. With an adjacent utility room with washing machine, sink and tumble drier. Outside drying facilities are also available. The Lodge has two bedrooms on the ground floor, one master kingsize with an en-suite shower room and a triple bunk room which has a large shower room adjacent to it.
Two further bedrooms are on the upper floor. The large master king-size bedroom features a beautiful en-suite bath and shower room. This large bedroom has a two seat leather sofa and large walk in wardrobe area. At the opposite end of the house is a large family room, consisting of one double bed and one single bed. What makes the bedroom special is the balcony with views over woodland and the beautiful garden. Perfect for that evening “Sundowner” or all important morning coffee.
Adjacent to the family room is a sitting room with sofa, flat screen TV, Freesat and an X-box. The bedrooms sleep in total 8 people, but extra guests can be accommodated by arrangement prior to booking but is much more suitable for no more than 8 adults(No extra charge).
This detached Lodge features a luxurious outdoor Hot Tub, which allows you to relax and soak in the peace and quiet of your surroundings. The BBQ area is the perfect location to enjoy Al Fresco Dining. Its peaceful location allows you to sit back, relax and enjoy watching the local wildlife as deer and red squirrels forage in the garden.
Nearby Loch Insh offers an excellent range of water sports opportunities including canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and fishing. Sporting facilities in the area include a number of 18 hole golf courses, excellent salmon and trout fishing on the River Spey and other waters.
A wide variety of birds can be seen from the RSPB hide overlooking the flood plains of the nearby Insh Marshes and within easy reach are the Cairngorm Mountains for snow sports and hill walking.
