The bright lights of Edinburgh are under an hour away by train from Tweedbank. Greenknowe Cottage enjoys dark skies, perfect for stargazing on a clear night. Well behaved dogs are most welcome, with doggy daycare available by prior arrangement.

There is a good range of independent shops, pubs and restaurants nearby including the award winning Mainstreet Trading Bookshop, Café and Deli. As there is an induction hob, Greenknowe Cottage is not recommended for guests with a pacemaker. Shop, pub and restaurant 3½ miles. No smoking.
