Grimbister Farm Cottage is a spacious three bedroomed holiday home on a working farm in the heart of Firth, located between Kirkwall and Stromness.
Grimbister offers great family accommodation with superb views over the Bay of Firth and the surrounding landscape. There is underfloor heating throughout the property to keep you warm during your stay, and a relaxing large corner bath to unwind in after a day's exploring.
Our farm cottage is ideally situated for exploring Orkney, just 5 miles from the city of Kirkwall, where you can visit Earls & Bishops Palaces Kirkwall , St Magnus Cathedral (St Magnus Cathedral tour times ), Orkney Museum, Highland Park Distillery and Scapa Distillery , to name a few of the attractions in town. If the weather isn't too kind, the The Pickaquoy Centre offers excellent indoor facilities such as a swimming pool, cinema, various exercise classes and kids entertainment.
The heart of Neolithic Orkney is a short drive from the cottage, where you can visit Skara Brae, Maeshowe, Ring of Brodgar and Standing Stones of Stenness . A further drive of 15 mins will take you to the Brough of Birsay , Broch of Gurness and Earls Palace Birsay.
