Heathfield West is a Victorian semi-villa in a quiet spot on the shore of East L.Tarbert yet only a few minutes walk from Tarbert's shops,restaurants and pubs. It has been carefully refurbished retaining original features but with all modern facilities.
The ground floor bedroom,which can be accessed from the road without encountering steps, is ensuite with a large shower thus suitable for those less mobile.
The twin/family room occupies the top floor where the spacious layout & view reward the climb.This room has its own separate large shower room.
Tea and coffee making facilities are supplied in both rooms.
The comfortable lounge with open fire overlooks the loch.Here guests can relax and watch fishing boats,yachts and ferries passing to and from the harbour,watch TV,listen to CDs or read a book.
Breakfast is served in the cosy dining room or bright conservatory and is a hearty meal of mainly locally sourced produce prepared to order to set guests up for the day ahead.
A packed lunch is available for those taking to the hills,roads or sea.
The back garden gives immediate access to the hill and 'Kintyre Way' as well as many shorter walks including the track to Tarbert Castle.
Guests may wish to just sit in the garden and enjoy the view--midge machine on site!!
Dinghies & kayaks may be launched from the beach across the road and some hardy folk have been known to swim in the loch.
