The Hideaway is an off-grid woodland glamping hut overlooking two beaver ponds and a beaver dam. It has a double bed, Z bed, hammock, woodburning stove and simple camping gas cooker and a vintage "cabin in the woods" style interior. There is a composting toilet nearby. This is a romantic place to stay for adventurous couples or families. The Hideway is 50 metres off the "beaten track" (ie the Bamff drive) along a woodland path that forms a section of the Cateran trail. There are signs of beaver everywhere and red squirrels and pine martens live in the woods behind. Quiet people may be able to watch wildlife from the three large windows.
Guests at the Hideway also have access to the Garden Room at the castle (500 m) with common room, wifi, large table, TV etc, and kitchenette, toilet and wetroom shower.
Well behaved dogs are allowed at the Hideaway but not in the Garden Room.
