We are Maggs and Dan, along with our two girls. Welcome to our beautiful home on the Black Isle just north of Inverness in the stunning Highlands of Scotland.
We have for holiday rental a self-contained annexe that’s attached to our family home. The annexe is separated from us by a locked dividing door. You will have your own entrance (2 entrances, actually).
We are on hand to help with enquiries or recommend places to see or eat but will of course leave you completely alone should that be your preference.
The annexe has 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 king) with built in wardrobes. There is a very large, light and airy living and dining space with double height ceilings and velux windows.
We can sleep 4 on beds but we are happy to provide a deluxe self inflating air bed, towels, bedding etc for an extra child. If you need an extra bed and associated bits please let us know well in advance. Towels and bedding are provided as standard for all guests.
The kitchen is bespoke and less than 2 years old. It’s fully stocked with everything non-food you’d need for a stay with us including a dishwasher. We have a separate utility room with a washing machine and outside drying space for clothes.
The annexe is a bungalow so inside is step free but there is a step to get in around the back. The front entrance is not wheelchair friendly.
The large, enclosed garden out the front is shared with us. We have our own separate fenced part that we ask guests not to use. There is a grassed part behind the annexe that will be just for your use, we may just have to get access to cut the grass etc depending on when you come. It’s all one garden but easy to see what’s what once you’re here as there’s a natural divide.
There’s plenty of parking and the house is accessed by an electric gate.
Pet wise it would be by prior agreement. We are dog friendly but would like to know in advance. We do have a wee dog run in the garden in case it’s needed.
We are child-friendly for any age child.
We have a strict no smoking policy.
We are on all the usual booking sites but offer good discounts for direct bookings. Please see the calendar on this site for up to date availability. We are also happy to offer a small discount for lower occupancy bookings that only need to use one bedroom to reflect lower costs for us in cleaning and washing.
COVID enhanced cleaning will take place using superior sanitising products). We are happy to provide details on request. Hand sanitiser and wipes will be left in the property for your use.
