Accommodation: 5 bedrooms, 4 doubles, 1 twin (sleeps 10)
The outside of this house does not do justice to the wonderful interiors and surroundings. Holeburn House is a big, spacious and bright house, with a wonderful open plan flow to it and marvellous views of what is a delightful large garden. Decks and balconies surround this house and the garden is a pleasure - lawns and flower beds and a burn at the foot. Behind is farmland and the Ochil hills.
This is a family home of great style - wood floors, granite worktops, wonderful new bathrooms - it has a very stylish and fresh feel. A well travelled owner has furnished the house with unusual and stylish items. The 5 bedrooms are all spacious and luxurious, with a high proportion of excellent bathrooms.
The public space is what makes this special - two sitting rooms, two dining areas and a very stylish kitchen are on the ground floor. In the lower ground is a fantastic bar - the real thing complete with fridges, counter and of course a dart board as well as lovely seating and TV. Outside there is plenty of seating space on the deck and balcony - ideal for a morning coffee or an evening drink or BBQ.
Holeburn House is a great setting off point to explore the history of Stirling and its castle, the Trossachs national park, Edinburgh, St. Andrews, The Kingdom of Fife, or north to Perthshire and its mountains. For golfers, Gleneagles lies a short distance down the Glen and the local Muckart course is less than a mile away. Make sure you got to Dollar and climb the beautiful Dollar Glen to see Castle Campbell - a fascinating spot with glorious views.
