Inverness is the capital of the Highlands, and Horseshoe Cottage has a perfectly capital position high on a hill overlooking the city, the Kessock Bridge and the Black Isle.
While the city is just a few minutes' drive and the airport 20 minutes away, its situation is one of restful peace with quietly grazing sheep and visiting deer. It has a small fenced garden and parking alongside. The house was once a hundred-year-old steading, now impressively converted to provide high spec. and most comfortable holiday accommodation for 4 people, with underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs.
Inverness is a very vibrant city, with top-class restaurants, theatres and sporting facilities, and of course, its environs are to die for: Loch Ness itself; Glens Affric and Cannich; to the north, there is the pretty Black Isle to explore, and you can be in Skye in less than two hours.
