With its long, beech tree driveway and stunning setting and gardens, the House of Glennie is beautiful and welcoming and is perfectly positioned in a secluded location on the banks of the River Deveron, one of Scotland's premier salmon rivers. The interiors are traditional, spacious and attractive and it has the relaxed feel of a family home.
The bedrooms are on the first floor and offer pretty views across the river and garden. There is a completely new kitchen, with breakfast area, that is a delight to cook in with its traditional Aga. There is also a fine dining room which seats up to 12 people.
The Deveron runs through the gardens and salmon fishing on this 1 mile beat is available for early bookings.
There are many activities to enjoy in the surrounding countryside – head north to enjoy the pretty Scottish fishing villages and beaches or west for Speyside with its whisky distilleries and castles. Whatever your preferred activity, this is a large holiday house that is well located and a pleasure to return to at the end of a full day.
