This magnificently situated house sits on the hill above Lochinver on Scotland’s beautiful west coast and has glorious views across the sea and to the great mountains of Sutherland such as Canisp and Suilven. It is hard to better the landscapes and yet nearby you have the facilities of Lochinver village and even a fabulous hotel and restaurant in walking distance at the Inver Lodge Hotel.
The house is newly refurbished and offers spacious, light and fresh rooms throughout – perfect for family holidays or fishing parties. It is a roomy house with big rooms and plenty of light to enjoy those fabulous views. A large kitchen with extra pantries, utility room and cloakroom is a great place to magic up large meals and the separate dining room a perfect spot to enjoy them and the views as well as a welcoming open fire. From the hall French doors lead out to a patio where you can relish a summer evening drink looking across the hills.
Upstairs the bedrooms are extremely comfortable and most have delightful views. One twin room is smaller than the others and ideal for children. It is a peaceful place, surrounded by wild country and no sounds of traffic. The area is simply beautiful and there are numerous fine beaches, a nature reserve on Handa Island , salmon and trout fishing that is available locally or a glorious drive to see the spectacle of the romantic surrounding Summer Isles.
A wonderful place this and one where you will be sad to leave and long to return.
