_{Welcome to the Old School Cottages offering luxurious self catering accommodation on the beautiful island of Islay. Situated in a quiet location in the village of Port Ellen the cottages offer magnificent views of Kilnaughton Beach, Carraig Fhada Lighthouse and The Oa.}

Islay is the ideal location for whisky lovers, boasting a total of 8 working distilleries, some offering the strongest flavoured of all malt whiskies. Three of the island's distilleries can be accessed from the cottages by a coastal footpath.

Islay has something for everyone .... walking or hiking, pony treking, cycling, wildlife boat trips, sea or loch fishing, golfing at The Machrie links course, visiting some of the historic island sites or wandering along some of the beautiful beaches or just relaxing!
