Jarbruck Lodge is a substantial Victorian detached cottage that was originally the paymaster's house for a large estate, near the little village of Moniaive.

Jarbruck Lodge is a beautifully restored Victorian house set amid wonderful countryside, off a quiet country road near Moniaive (2m, shop, pubs, restaurant).

Inside, there is a choice of a comfy sitting room with open fire, cosy TV room with woodburning stove or spacious dining kitchen to relax in. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a bathroom with roll-top bath and outside the large enclosed grassed gardens have a pretty patio area (furniture, BBQ).

Forest tracks lead off into the hills behind the house with spectacular views and an abundance of wildlife. Mountain bikers are well catered for with trails at Drumlanrig Castle (8m) and excellent 7stanes centres at Ae (17.5m) and Dalbeattie (25m). There is superb fishing on the River Nith and the magnificent beaches of the Solway coast are only 45 minutes away.
