Blane Cottage is named after Saint Blane, a Bishop of the Picts born on the Isle of Bute in the 6th Century. The cottage is situated in a small courtyard area in Kames Estate close to the 14th century Keep and an extensive lawned area leading to a woodland. This location makes Blane a favourite with dog owners. The cottage sleeps five guests in one double bedroom and one triple bedroom (the latter comprising one single bed and one bunkbed). All accommodation is on the ground level, including the bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. The cottage boasts modern and comfortable accommodation and benefits from washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, DVD player and free wifi. A log burner is located in the living room. A high chair and travel cot are available on request. The cottage is located in 20 acres of grounds, including an 18th Century walled garden.
