Escape to the beautiful Kelburn Estate and stay in their stunning glamping yurts. The cosy yurts, each with a wood burning stove, are perched on a hillside with incredible views over the Firth of Clyde and Isle of Arran. All glamping stays include access to Kelburn Estate, which includes three outdoor play areas, beautiful gardens and Castle, unique history, stunning woodland and glen walks. The glamping site features an eco-friendly design, which includes logs that were felled on the estate and solar powered lighting.

Glamping Yurts
Available Spring through to Autumn. Our yurts are traditional Central Asian Turkic Nomadic Trellised Tents!
Made and installed using authentic methods.
Each yurt has openable canvas windows, solid lockable door, skydome, trellis walls which are felt-insulated (keeping excess heat and cold under control) and laminate flooring with cosy rugs. One of our yurts is level-accessible.
Amenities inside
A small wood-burning stove heats the yurt quickly and safely. You are provided with starting supply of fuel upon arrival. A stove-top kettle can quickly make you a warm cuppa!
Extra comfortable main bed with all linens, duvet, blankets and cushions provided
Relaxed seating inside with table and chairs for dining.
Lighting/lamps inside, either solar or electric/usb
Outside
All yurts built to give own secluded woodland area with decking, outdoor seating, firepit and breath-taking views.
Parking is provided nearby, with "unloading" available at the Bothy. (we like everyone to have unspoilt views and minimum vehicle disruption)
The Bothy
Communal space - Our beautiful larch-built "Bothy" provides shared living and catering space: Includes 2 kitchenettes (fridge, cupboards, oven, hob, toaster, microwave, kettle, sink, utensils, pans, cutlery and crockery - provision of washing up liquid and cloths).
Large wood-burning stove, leather sofas, dining chairs and tables, sliding doors and decking with panorama views across the Clyde to the Islands.
4 toilets and showers/wet rooms (including one level accessible) and two outdoor utility style sinks (large water-canisters provided for retaining own drinking water) are situated at the Bothy.

Location
The Glamping site is located in an elevated position, accessible by car and on foot from the visitor centre but set aside from the day visitors. It feels secluded and peaceful with spectacular views and incredible wildlife. (Typical viewing of Roe deer, Ravens, kestrels and sunsets!)

CHILDRENS PLAY AREAS
The Saloon: Let the kids lose themselves in this exciting play area in a wooden fort with a raised walkway taking you around the outer battlements. Secret Forest: The Secret Forest is a complex of paths and raised walkways cut through a wild wood, full of fairy tale surprises!
Indoor Playbarn: Recommended for ages 3 to 12, this small but unique play area lets your kids run, jump, slide and explore. From a playful ball pool under a bridge, a climbing wall, winding staircases to two exciting slides.
GLENS AND GARDENS
The Grounds have much to offer and why not look for some of our special features while you enjoy a walk in the great outdoors. Kelburn is famous for its many unusual trees and the 1000 year old Yews and the Weeping Larch have been recognised by the Forestry Commission as two of the 100 most important ‘heritage’ trees in Scotland.
TRAILS AND WALKS
Kelburn is a natural attraction and hosts a wonderful coastal woodland. The castle is situated on the side of a beautiful glen and has unrivalled views over the Clyde estuary and islands. Enjoy both the views and features of the glen as you explore our network of trails. Make sure you include the short path to the waterfall, where you can appreciate the waters force over the centuries.
THE CASTLE
The Castle is still the private home of Earl of Glasgow and his family. Due to this reason, the Castle is only open for tours on set dates in the Summer at an additional cost. Our Castle opening times are available here:

CAFE and Ice Creamery
The Cafe is open daily throughout the high season. The Cafe serves delicious home-cooked food as well as hot drinks, snacks, ice-cream and cakes.

PREMIUM YURTS
Each premium yurt is costed at £135 per night, based on two people sharing. Additional guests are £15 per guest per night. There is a minimum stay of 2 nights.
STANDARD YURTS
Each standard yurt is costed at £105 per night, based on two people sharing. Additional guests are £15 per guest per night. There is a minimum stay of 2 nights.
CAMPING
From £10 per night.

- We provide bedding, linen and one bath towel per person
- The yurts do not have their own, individual bathroom facilities
- Parking is available at the site, all of which are about a 1min walk from each of the yurts
- The Visitor Centre is open 1000 till 1800. Access to all grounds and amenities is 5 – 10 minute walk away.
- No pets are allowed in the yurts
- Pets are allowed on our campsite
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times
- Horses are traversing the pathways and nearby the campsite
