There are many famous sights on the Isle of Skye to visit on your stay. Dunvegan Castle, home of the Clan MacLeod is 5 miles away and worth a visit, but our favourite is Duntulm Castle in the north of the island, a panoramic drive up the west coast of the island to the ruins perched high on a cliff top with views out over the Western Isles.
More captivating visits include the The Old Man of Storr, this is a walkers paradise where you can walk in the footsteps of Hollywood stars. A few miles drive north to Kilt Rock where you can look over the edge (if you dare). Also worth a visit is the dinosaurs footprints at Staffin Bay and the phenomenon that is the Quiraing.
The jewel in Skyes crown is the Cuillin, best approached by boat from Elgol to Loch Coruisk in the heart of this magnificent mountain range.
Skye has some of the brightest skies in Europe where the days are long during the summer and sightings of the aurora borealis (northern lights) are possible. The sunsets on Skye are amazing and once seen never forgotten. Travel magazine voted it the best place in the world to watch the setting sun.
