Killiechoilum Cottage is a charming, detached house set in a lovely rural setting in the heart of the countryside yet in easy reach of nearby Loch Ness.
Inside, everything in the living area is open plan with one wall made of glass to allow sunlight to stream in and the views to be admired. There is cosy seating around the wood-burning stove with a dining area behind and a modern kitchen area. All on one level are four attractive bedrooms that share three shower rooms and outside the grassed garden has expansive views out over the surrounding rolling hills.
Bar meals are available at the hotel in Whitebridge (1.5m) and fishing can also be arranged. The South Loch Ness Trail allows cyclists to explore on two wheels and the RSPB RESERVE AT Loch Ruthen (17.5m) is home to half of the UK’s Slavonian grebe population as well as ospreys, curlews and red-throated divers. At Fort Augustus (10m) the impressive staircase of locks is a marvel to watch boats negotiating.
