Kilmichael House - A lovely Victorian Villa, located on the edge of the village of Drumnadrochit (10 min. walk / 2 min, drive) stands alone in its own grounds surrounded by a grove of very Impressive Sequoia Trees
Kilmichael House is fully centrally heated, with ample car parking and is Non Smoking throughout the Property (including the grounds).
Kilmichael House is an Adult Only property(we do not accommodate children or babies). All our four rooms are located on the first floor and either have garden views or views across the open fields to the hills beyond. They offer double accommodation - (two super King Rooms and two standard double rooms). All rooms are double bedded unless twin bedded rooms are requested at time of booking.Three of the rooms are en-suite with the small double room having a separate bathroom across the hall. All the bedrooms are bright, tastefully furnished and well equipped with breakfast trays, Flat Screen TV/DVD players, (small selection of DVD's available for guests) and free wi-fi is also available in public areas (Our internet providor is BT and we do not accept responsibility for internet speeds or mobile phone signals)
Guests can choose from Room Only Rates to B & B Rates that include a healthy, Continental Breakfast with choices from great quality Local Bakery Bread, warm croissants, our own home made Preserves, Seasonal Fresh Fruit Salad, Selection of cereals, muselis, granola. cheese/ham selection and of course great tea selection, good machine coffee and Fresh Fruite Juice (not from concentrat). Please note that winter months are much quieter and we do not operate the buffet - the choices are tailored to suit individual requirements as far as possible.
For walkers and cyclists we are about 600 yards from the Great Glen Way and this is about the same distance to the village where guests can enjoy traditional bill of fayre from Scotland's Larder. in the warm, friendly surroundings of Fiddlers Restaurant/Coffee Shop and Award Winning Malt Whisky Bar (over 600 to choose from). A little further away is the Loch Ness Inn where once again a warm welcome and good food awaits. If real ales is your tipple then the Benleva Pub is the place to visit (also popular with the lcoals!) They have their own micro brewery and are renowned good ale keepers, serving beers in tip top condition. They also have an annual Beer Festival.
Staying a day or two (or more) makes Kilmichael House is the ideal base to enjoy the many activities both locally and further afield - boat trips on the beautiful, mysterious Loch Ness, horse riding, walking, cycling (bikes not provided) as
well as must sees - Urquhart Castle, Millitary museum at Fort George, Culloden Battlefield. pre-historic Clava Cairns, fairy tale Brodie Castle, stunning countryside/coastline with spectacular scenery - the list goes on and on.
Whether you are here for one night or more, on your own or getting together with family/friends (exclusive use of the house is available, details on request) or just want to enjoy a peacful break in traditional surroundings I look forward to welcoming you to my home. Charlotte
