On arrival you will be greeted with a welcoming cup of tea and a slice of tasty home baking, before being left to unwind in your comfortably furnished room. For breakfast, enjoy a delicious home cooked Scottish breakfast with all the trimmings or a lighter option if you prefer. If you plan to spend the day walking in the Galloway hills or enjoying any of the other great outdoor activities here, then an early breakfast and packed lunch can be arranged.
This quality B&B is a great place to stay if you fancy exploring Scotland's longest and most challenging walking route, the Southern Upland Way, or the Galloway Forest Park, with its 300 square miles of beautiful green forest, heather-clad hills, wealth of wildlife and two of the 7stanes mountain biking centres, Glentrool and Kirroughtree. At night, it is also one of the best spots in the UK for stargazing with the naked eye, as it's the first Dark Sky Park in the UK and one of only two in Europe! The B&B is also less than 10 miles away from Scotland's National Book Town, Wigtown, and Scotland's most southerly whisky distillery, Bladnoch Distillery.
