Although it may sound like two separate islands, Lewis and Harris are actually two parts of the one island, with Stornoway on the east coast, the largest town of the island group. Catch the ferry to Lewis and Harris, and you'll soon be blown away by the ever-changing mix of terrains; mountains, hills, lunar-like rocky plateaus, moorlands, meadows, rugged coastlines and white sandy beaches all feature.
Once you've explored Lewis and Harris, there's plenty more adventures to have as you head south via causeway or ferry to the other Hebridean islands which lie southwards.
great central position between Stornoway and Tarbert on the Hebridean Cycle Route. Local beaches, historical sites and beauty spots are accessible by bus and directly from the BnB croft.
Kinloch Bed and Breakfast offers great scenic walks and wildlife such as Golden Eagles, sometimes seen from the house, and Sea Eagles, seen from time to time on Loch Erisort, which is easily accessible where you will also find several species of sea birds, such as Divers and Waders.
Local fishing is excellent, with good trout lochs within walking distance.
