Kirsty Cottage is a traditional Scottish stone dormer cottage dating back more than 250 years. Recently refurbished to a very high standard, it is equipped with everything you need in a cosy, welcoming holiday home. The cottage sleeps four in light, airy double and twin bedrooms and is ideal for a couple, a family or a small group of friends. It has a modern gas central heating system, plus a traditional fireplace with solid fuel stove in the comfortable lounge. The fully fitted kitchen, complete with gas cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, offers the perfect space to create a culinary masterpiece. Gas, electricity, bed linen and towels are included and a travel cot is available by arrangement.
Whilst the cottage is located in a quiet setting, Moffat’s shops, pubs and restaurants are all within five minutes’ walk. Around the town is a network of footpaths through fields, woodlands and along the river bank. Hillwalkers can explore the Moffat Hills to the north and east and the Lowther Hills to the south and west. Spectacular scenery in the area includes the Grey Mare’s Tail, a 100m high cascade in the valley of the Moffat Water. The border towns of Hawick and Peebles are also easily accessible from the cottage.
