Knockquhassen Farm is easy to find, situated on the Southern Upland Way, very close to Knockquhassen Reservoir. Although close to Stranraer, which has all the usual shops and facilities, including numerous cafes and restaurants, at Knockquhassen Farm you will find peaceful seclusion, stunning panoramic views, good food and a very warm welcome!
We have 2 rooms available for guests, one upstairs and one downstairs, both with ensuite showers. We love animals and have 3 cats and 3 horses here. However we welcome dogs (with their owners!) and have flexible accommodation to suit most needs. The area is wonderful for walking with dogs and they can also enjoy the run of the garden and grounds. Trout fishing is available on the reservoir, a short walk from the house; there are numerous lovely gardens nearby to visit and plenty of scenic countryside to explore on foot, by bike or by car. The local area is wonderful for wildlife and we see many birds and animals in the garden including buzzards, raven and roe deer. We are just 30 miles from the Galloway Forest Park which is also full of opportunities for walking, cycling and wildlife spotting.
