Larach is a traditional, detached cottage in a quiet setting in the little hamlet of Ordie on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park near Aboyne (6.5m, supermarket).
The main living accommodation has been laid out on the one level with cosy wood-burning stoves in both the sitting room and the dining kitchen, two nicely presented bedrooms and a family bathroom. Upstairs the attic has been cleverly converted into a snug with bean bags and a TV and outside is ample parking and secure store for bikes, etc.
Walkers can tread the Tarland Way and there are some pretty woodland walks and the impressive Burn O Vat waterfall to visit within the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve (2.5m). In winter, skiing and snowboarding can be tried out at either Glenshee (33m) or The Lecht (23.5m).
