Situated on a working farm, Larch Cottage is a semi-detached property that sits within the peaceful countryside just outside the Highland town of Nairn. Ideally located for exploring the Highlands as well as Moray, this cottage is the perfect family retreat that you have been searching for.
The cottage comfortably accommodates six people in one double and two twin bedrooms. In keeping with the traditional cottage feel, each of the bedrooms are bright and fresh with nice floral touches in the furnishings and décor that bring a splash of colour to the rooms. The sitting/dining room is sure to be the room in which you spend most of your time, and again has a wonderfully cosy ‘cottage’ feel to it. The galley kitchen - although small - is very functional, and is well equipped for allowing you to prepare delicious home cooked meals. It also has access to the back garden, meaning you can keep an eye on the children playing in the garden whilst the dinner is being made.
Outside, there is seating and a built-in brick barbeque area for those warm summer evenings where you can dine al fresco. There is a garden at both the front and rear of the property, but please be aware that they are not enclosed and are shared with the neighbouring holiday cottage that is attached. The bonus of being on a farm means that there are plenty of opportunities to watch the animals in the surrounding fields, and the owners can even take you on a ‘farm tour’, which is sure to be a hit with both young and old!
Nairn is a convenient 5 miles away, and has all of the amenities you will need during your stay. There are plenty of beaches, castles, golf courses and other attractions nearby, including Brodie Country Fare which is just down the road. Inverness is just over 20 miles away, which has many tourist attractions. Landmark Forest Adventure Park is less than an hour’s drive away and makes a fantastic day out for the whole family. Further afield along the Moray coast, Findhorn is a 25 minute drive away and is a must visit, with plenty of water sports and outdoor activities for all to enjoy.
