Loch Arklet Guest House is a traditional Scottish country house that was built in circa 1890. The family has owned the house for 20 years, and it has been used as family holiday home and self-catering accomodation for domestic and oversea guests. In 2019, due to increased tourist demand, we chose to start a family-run Bed and Breakfast.
Located on the banks of Loch Arklet, and overlooking the spill-way of a beautiful Victorian sandstone dam, the main balcony of the house affords a superb platform to enjoy magnificent unrestricted views of the Trossachs, Arrochars, and Loch Lomond Glen.
We offer four bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, that come with television and a tea & coffee making facility. There is a large lounge area for guests to relax, and a dining room for breakfast. Other features include a large patio and garden area. Packed lunches and evenings meals provided on request at an extra cost.
The location of the house provides many opportunities for outdoor pursuits including fishing, cycling and hill walking. Even the less adventurous may easily access spectacular panoramic views of Loch Lomond from the Inversnaid road or visit the picturesque and historic villages of Aberfoyle and Callander.
