Loch Ossian Youth Hostel is a traditional but homely eco-hostel situated in the remote wilderness of Rannoch Moor with exquisite views over Loch Ossian.
Although remote, it operates some of the most up to date environmental science, including wind and solar power, grey water, dry toilet systems and even bat friendly paint!
An ideal walking location with plenty of low and high level routes including Munros and Corbetts, Loch Ossian is also popular with cyclists, star gazers, wildlife watchers, groups and families. It’s a great venue for a celebration or a peaceful break.
The youth hostel has a fully equipped self-catering kitchen but no fridge. Perishables can be kept cool in the north facing washrooms or in the loch! Although there are no showers, the wash rooms have hot water and towels are available for hire or purchase. There’s also a small shop with ready meals, a range of snacking essentials, postcards and sundries.
All accommodation is multi-share, but groups and families can book a dorm room for exclusive use. Duvets and pillows are supplied (but please bring your own sleeping sheets).
There is no road access to Loch Ossian Youth Hostel – it’s only accessible by rail, bike, or foot. Corrour railway station (Glasgow to Fort William line) is 1 mile away and the youth hostel is a short, approximately 20 minute walk from the station along a well-made track.
|Bed in Shared Acoommodation||£19 Per person per night (room only)|
