Loch Ruathair Cottage is a traditional cottage nestled in a prime position overlooking beautiful Loch an Ruathair, near the tiny settlement of Kinbrace (2m).
The cottage has a cosy sitting room with wood-burning stove at its heart, a kitchen diner, two bedrooms and a family bathroom downstairs and a master double bedroom upstairs. It sits in an extensive grassed garden with lovely views out across the loch.
The famous Flow Country wetland just north of Kinbrace is managed by the RSPB as a vital habitat for many rare birds and you can try prospecting in the burn in the ‘Town of Gold’ Kildonan (9m). Helmsdale (17m, shops, small supermarket) is famous for its annual highlands games and from John O’ Groats (56m) you can take wildlife cruises or pop across to the charming Orkney isles.
