Remote and peaceful mountain hostel on Balquhidder lochside. Ideal place to get away from it all. Sleeps 12 in 3 bedrooms: double, family and bunk-room. Within 2 hours of Scotland’s major cities and airports. Access by forestry track or rowing boat

Facilities

The Hostel has excellent facilities including a fully equipped kitchen, central heating, 2 bathrooms with showers, internet access, clothes and boot drying facilities, bike shed, its own jetty and rowing boat rental ( £10 hr). All linen provided, but bring your own bath towel.

Food

Make sure you bring food to cook for yourselves as there are no shops nearby and the nearest reasonably priced restaurant is on the main road. Well known gourmet hotel Monachyle Mhor is our nearest neighbour - just across the glen – with bar and sandwiches for non-residents.

Prices

At Loch Voil Hostel you can book a bed, a whole room (see tariff above), or the whole hostel for £204 per night. There is also a campsite adjacent to the hostel for £10 per person per night and wooden cabins for smaller groups are available at £15 per person per night.
