Welcome to Lochinver Guest House, a friendly and relaxed spacious Victorian town-house in one of the most beautiful and quiet streets in Ayr, lined with cherry trees and impressive Victorian villas, and just a five minute walk to town centre restaurants, bars and shops, and just a 6 minute walk to the seafront promenade.
At Lochinver Guest House, impressive Victorian features combines with modern comfort, from the luxury cotton bed linen and antique furniture to the mouth-watering Lochinver breakfast served in our comfortable and spacious dining room, and luxury afternoon tea served in the elegant drawing room. We endeavour to make your stay at Lochinver Guest House a relaxing and enjoyable one.
We have seven beautiful guest bedrooms - all named after Clans associated with Ayrshire, each room with a different character and all offering a high standard of accommodation. Each room has either en-suite or private facilities.
All our bedrooms offer luxury cotton bed linen, soft sumptuous duvets and pillows from the Fine Bedding Company with the option of down and feather pillows if you prefer.
The bedrooms are all stylishly furnished with a mix of antique furniture, modern comfortable beds and luxurious fabrics and little touches to enhance your enjoyment whilst you are staying with us as our guests. All our rooms are situated on either the first or second floors, and either overlook the leafy Park Circus to the front, or face South towards the garden or courtyard, from the back of the house. Free wifi, hospitality trays, complimentary bottled water and home-made biscuits are available in all bedrooms along with other luxuries and essentials.
We are sorry to disappoint but we do not accommodate children under the age of 12 or pets. Lochinver is a non-smoking property, and guests are respectfully asked to smoke outwith the building.
Guests may relax in the comfort of our Drawing Room at any time of the day. This beautiful elegant room with many Victorian details has a bay window overlooking Park Circus. It has a range of books, board-games and magazines for your enjoyment as well as free wifi. Newspapers can be ordered upon request.
Afternoon tea can be served in the Drawing Room by prior arrangement. We can also serve an 'Ayrshire Ashet' to guests from 5pm until 8pm by arrangement, either in the Drawing Room or in the comfort of your own bedroom if do not wish to dine out, but instead would prefer something lighter to eat at 'Lochinver'. This is made up of local and Scottish cheeses, hams and cold cuts, served with a selection of pickles and preserves - some made locally, Scottish oatcakes and artisan breads. This can be booked in advance or when you check-in. We are also able to provide a picnic lunch by prior arrangement. Please see our Afternoon Tea & Ayrshire Ashet menus.
We do not have a licence, but we are happy to provide glasses and ice to guests, and we can offer a range of soft drinks from our menu.
We are able to provide our guests with free parking vouchers allowing you to park on Park Circus, which is otherwise a restricted parking zone - there are ample parking spaces along this street.
We can provide bicycle storage facilities for a small number of bikes, by prior arrangement and we have a clothes-drying service available for cyclists and golfers.
We have a range of bedroom options available- king size doubles, twins, single and single ocupancy of double rooms, and superking bedrooms. All rooms have either en-suite or private bathroom.

Breakfast at Lochinver Guest House is a special occasion where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your own table in the relaxed ambience of our bright, spacious dining room.
This simple but elegant room has a lovely big South-facing French window overlooking the pretty courtyard to catch the morning sunlight, and crisp white table linen to compliment the fine blue vintage china and silverware decorating the room. Breakfast here really does feel like a relaxed but special occasion.
Indulge in a choice of cooked to order hot breakfast options including traditionally made Scottish porridge using a family recipe, or the Lochinver full cooked Scottish breakfast.
We offer plenty of healthy options including fresh fruit salad or a fruit compote, luxury Greek style yogurt, a selection of breakfast cereals and fruit juices.
There are also a few special indulgences available from the buffet including warm croissants and pastries. We have cooked options on the menu for vegetarians, and other special diets can be catered for by prior arrangement. We pride ourselves in serving quality Scottish produce, prepared with care and delivered with passion.
Ayrshire is renowned as an international golfing destination, and working with our partners we offer a selection of golf packages from our silver, gold and platinum ranges.
