Lormac is a quirky, two-storey log cabin located just outside Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. Set within walking distance to the beach, this newly built log cabin has been stylishly furnished to a modern standard, with lots of bright colours throughout. The open plan sitting room and kitchen area makes this a very sociable space that the family will love, with a sleek fitted kitchen which is fully equipped for cooking up a storm. The TV can be found in a separate snug room which is ideal for children or teenagers who want to have their own space in the evenings.
Both bedrooms can be found on the first floor, each of which is ensuite. This makes it ideal for two couples who are looking to stay. Just like the rest of the house, the furnishings are bold and bright which adds character to the property. There are lots of beautiful ornaments and trinkets throughout Lormac, which the owners have collected from their travels across the continents – everytime you look, you see something that you didn’t notice before! The master bedroom has access to a private balcony, which is the perfect place to sit in the morning with a mug of coffee to start your day.
There are plenty of things to see and do on this fantastic island. Take a drive down to the Isle of Harris to visit the Harris Gin distillery, visit the Callanish Standing Stones, and stroll along some of the numerous sandy beaches that can be found along the West coast of the island. You are sure to forget that you are in Scotland when you see the white sand lapped with turquoise waters on a warm Summer day – paradise! Boat trips are also available across the island for those keen to do some wildlife spotting. For history lovers, Lews Castle and Museum is just a short drive away from the property, and be sure to visit one of the original Blackhouses on Lewis, to get a feel of what it was like to live in a traditional croft on the island.
