East Lodge is a delightful gate lodge set just off the New Abbey Road in the pretty hamlet of Islesteps. It has an enclosed garden perfect for enjoying the peace and tranquility of the rolling countryside of Dumfries and Galloway.
The lodge is heated by oil fired central heating, perfect for keeping you toasty. Bed linen, towels and WiFi are included along with a welcome pack, doggy treats and initial logs for the woodburner.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the lodge.
The private enclosed garden has a grassed area along with a patio for alfresco dining all year round. Furthermore, there is a lockable bike store (bikes left at owners own risk). There is a private driveway which allows ample off road parking.
Although the cottage is in a rural setting, the town of Dumfries is only 3 miles away. There is also a small newsagents/grocery shop 1 mile away, along with a pub, restaurant and tearoom.
If you are arriving by rail, Dumfries station is only 3.5 miles from the lodge.
A choice of beaches and popular tourist attractions are only a short 15 minute drive away.
